Classes & Lessons

From the beginner to more advanced player, we offer lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and violin.  Ask about setting up a time that works with your schedule. We'll work in the style of music that you want to learn, or create a program that encompasses many genres of music. We emphasize having fun while learning basic music theory and instrument skills. Alan Morrison has been playing the guitar and bass for over 35 years and teaching lessons throughout those years. "The guitar, and music in general, has been a great source of enjoyment for me.  My goal is to help my students learn the guitar so they can enjoy the many benefits of playing an instrument.I believe in starting out with the basics, such as reading music and learning where the notes and chords are on the guitar. From there we can go to more advanced things, like learning specific songs, or improvisation."

Alan has played in various bands since the age of 16 and enjoys many different musical styles. He is currently lead guitarist for the band Identity Crisis, a 12 piece classic rock band.

He teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, and mandolin.

Our middle school-aged son was beginning to take the bass guitar seriously and was playing in jazz band at school. His band teacher suggested we send him to Alan for bass lessons to learn some techniques over the summer. When he returned to school the next fall, his teacher said, ‘It’s like Zac’s bass skills are on steroids this year, wow!’ We're very pleased with Alan and his instruction.

A special shout out to Bryce Swanson for guitar lessons. I was looking to get out of the slump I was in with my standard classic rock repertoire. Bryce is teaching me jazz, he is a great jazz player and teacher. I give Bryce an A+.
